Least Restrictive (LRE) Aide

TITLE OF POSITION:  Least Restrictive (LRE) Aide (one on one) at the Intermediate School 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To assist a special education student with establishing and maintaining a daily routine; maintaining and implementing the positive behavior plan; working closely with the school social worker to document incentives and motivating factors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma (some instances require the employee to take the ETS Para test to be highly qualified); and must submit to and pass a criminal background check. 

STARTING DATE:   As Soon As Possible 

SALARY:  $15.00 per hour starting wage; benefits package

Cheboygan employs over 200 staff members, which includes administrators, teachers, secretaries, paraprofessionals, food service workers, custodial/maintenance workers and bus drivers. Our staff currently serves approximately 1,500 students. Cheboygan is located 15 Miles East of Mackinaw City along the Cheboygan River and on the coast of Lake Huron. Cheboygan is also surrounded by many inland lakes. Residents of the 260 square mile district have easy access to numerous trails, as well as recreational opportunities. Its close proximity to beautiful Lake Huron is an added benefit to Cheboygan residents.
