Assistant or Associate Professor of Construction Technology & Management (9-Month, Tenure-Track)- Ferris State University.
The Department of Construction Technology & Management invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Primary responsibilities include teaching and advising students in a four-year BS Construction Management program ACCE. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction technology and construction management topics. Position may require teaching online or at off-campus location in Grand Rapids. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024. Required 1. Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial). OR 2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND an MBA plus five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. OR 3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and eight years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. A Master's degree in field or an approved related field will be required prior to tenure. Required work experience is based on degree attained. If a candidate has a PhD in Construction Management, five years full-time US commercial or industrial construction experience is required. If a candidate has a PhD in a closely related field, but not actually Construction Management, the Master's degree must be in Construction Management and five years full-time commercial or industrial construction experience is required.
