Director of Development- The Director of Development (DOD) under the direction and collaboration of the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), will execute the fundraising initiatives for the institution in concert with the strategic initiatives of the College Leadership Council, College President, and Board of Directors of the Jackson College Foundation (JCF), to develop strategies for successful planning and implementation of comprehensive fund development initiatives. The DOD will provide dynamic, proactive, and collaborative servant leadership, to build upon and grow a vibrant fund development program that provides a transformational level of financial support for Jackson College. In collaboration with the CAO, develop and implement multi-faceted, strategic fund development programs focusing on donor acquisition, cultivation, and retention as well as increasing levels of giving by grantors, organizations, friends, alumni, students, parents, and the internal campus community, etc.
The focus of this position will be external, and solely focused on relationship building and fund development. This position will require travel/cultivation/solicitation in Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties, some travel in lower Michigan and limited travel nationally. This position will require some evening and weekend hours.
