Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, Building and Lab Safety

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, Building & Lab Safety reports to the Executive Director of Campus Safety. The EHS Specialist performs highly responsible inspection and compliance work for all buildings on the Lamar State College Orange, Lamar State College Port Arthur, and the Lamar Institute of Technology campuses. 

This position is a shared position working amongst the three campuses mentioned. Travel between the campuses will be required so applicants must possess a valid driver’s license. 

Requires a two-year degree in safety related field, or minimum of 30 college credit hours plus safety related work experience. Applicants must have at least five years of safety work experience. 

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.

Salary: $45,000 annually; State of Texas benefits + Retirement.
