The Instructor reports directly to the Upward Mobility Nursing Program Director. The primary duties of this position are classroom instruction, lab instruction, and clinical supervision. Serves on assigned faculty committees. Assists with student advising. Continues professional development. Assigned courses may include at least one evening class or clinical per year. Teach a standard work load of thirty (30) semester credit hours of instruction each academic year beginning each fall and continuing through the following summer. Graduate of an accredited college or university with an MSN or BSN with master’s degree in related field and a minimum of six semester hours of graduate level content in nursing. Must be a Registered Nurse and registered to practice in the State of Texas. Must be currently employed in nursing or nursing education for the previous three years. Experienced in clinical nursing practice and able to assist students in clinical practice.
Salary: Commensurate with Experience, Plus Excellent Benefits
Position is security sensitive and subject to Texas education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
