LOCATION: Grand Forks, ND, (preferred) or Fargo, ND. A hybrid telework option may be available after an initial training period.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position in the 4000 broadband, non-exempt from FLSA (overtime eligible).

SALARY: $40,000 annual salary plus 100% employer paid tuition & required books for the apprenticeship program at Lake Region State College (LRSC)

JOB SUMMARY: The Service Desk Agent Apprentice will provide direct technical support and technology recommendations to the North Dakota University System community; including students, staff, and faculty. The IT Services Manager will supervise work assignments. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to serve as the escalation point between the users of the NDUS IT services and the NDUS service owners withing CTS or at any of the individual campuses; deliver timely resolution of Service Desk incidents and service requests, or routing them to the appropriated internal or external service provider; create and maintain Service Desk models and knowledge management articles as needed; and management of escalated incidents or service request, where appropriate. After an initial training period, the shift will be 9:00 a.m. CT to 6:00 p.m. CT, during the academic year.
Minimum Qualifications: • Acceptance in the LRSC apprenticeship program & agreement to the terms of that program. • https://www.lrsc.edu/academics/programs/apprenticeship-program • High School diploma, or equivalent • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications: • Coursework in information technology • Experience working in a technology or cyber security environment. • Experience working in higher education. • Experience with written and verbal communication, and successfully conveying ideas and contributing to a team environment.
