QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two years security experience, to include School Security (preferred) Must have or be able to quickly acquire and implement an in-depth knowledge and application of organizational and departmental program priorities (mission, goals and objectives) General knowledge in the following areas: alarms systems, dispatching, drug testing, state required drills, rave panic button data, office management. Superb communication and interpersonal skills Able to interact with individuals at all levels and handle sensitive and confidential situations in a professional manner No felony or misdemeanor convictions or arrests Valid Arkansas driver’s license Possess or obtain Private Security Officers license and pass the drug/alcohol test Possess CPR and First Aid certification

REPORTS TO: Facilitator of Safety and Security

JOB GOAL: Assists the Safety and Security Facilitators in the oversight of security services by planning, organizing, assigning and reviewing the activities of the Safety and Security Department.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the Development and monitoring of budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities. Maintain and monitor the front entrance of the Central Office building, when required. Review and participate in the work of the Department of Safety and Security. Assist in preparing Department attendance, and overtime/compensation time records for payroll. Assist in Maintaining and processing requisitions and billing invoices for payment. Assist in Coordinating activities with other agencies; and perform a variety of administrative and technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Serve as security support on identified after-school events that require additional security. Work closely with the leadership of Safety and Security to establish and recommend priorities on master planning data entry, monthly/quarterly drills, drug testing, camera repairs and installation. Assist with managing and maintaining School Dude maintenance suite, Rave and Eyewitness data. Prepare and submit fire, tornado, and lockdown drills to the Department of Education. Maintain a variety of manual and electronic documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements. Assist with safety programs for assigned sections and work groups; assists with action planning for safety programs; respond to workers’ compensation issues. Assist with employee training scheduling, PSO, CPR and In-services/ administrative annual workshop’s. Prepare reports as directed. Initiate correspondence on a variety of security related matters. Prepare new employee files and updating current employee’s files. Update meeting/training material and equipment (e.g. Uniforms, Chromebooks, folders and binders) Assist with coordinating and maintaining District – wide and Federal mandated DOT / Random Drug Testing. Maintain confidential case files. Attend all security department meetings and in-service training. Perform other duties as assigned.
