Food Service Director, Math Teacher, English/Language Arts Teacher
Southern Berkshire Regional School District has the following vacancies for the 2022-2023 school year:
Food Service Director Direct the overall operation of the food service program of the Southern Berkshire Regional School District (SBRSD), including, but not limited to those duties listed below. Personnel Management: Direct and indirect supervision of all food service employees Financial Management: Establish and maintain proper internal accounting and cash procedures, student accounts, function billing, invoice management, Department of Revenue (state taxes) Menu planning: Special emphasis on students' needs and wants Cost control, nutritional standards and maximum usage of USDA commodities within menus Purchasing: Participates in local county wide purchasing and procurement group
Equipment Purchasing Kitchen Maintenance: Equipment maintenance, sanitation School Food Safety Program: HACCP, SOP's, Standardized Recipes Oversee and develop a district wide recycling program, committee driven Director of Building & Grounds Duties: Chief-line administrator for the custodial and maintenance staff in the district. Oversee staff planning, training, evaluations, coordination, and organization to assure the most efficient and economical custodial and maintenance services, including: Job descriptions; Staff duty plans; Supervision of in-service training and evaluations of district employees; Monitor overtime assignments, special cleaning programs, and maintenance emergencies; Order and maintain an inventory of school supplies and copy supplies Personnel Management Budgeting: Plan and oversee the budget for all maintenance and custodial programs, such as: Budget development and control Oversee contracted services work of outside contractors or equipment purchases from suppliers Develop and implement short and long-range maintenance and replacement plans with the Business Administrator Communications: Check in weekly with the principal of each school to ensure coordination and input with regard to any matters which affect his/her area of responsibility such as maintenance and repairs, budgeting, structural modifications, routine activities, and special activities Report to the Superintendent of Schools personally as circumstance may dictate
Middle School Math Teacher Responsibilities include: Will teach a combination of middle school classes. Capacity to work creatively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Experience and expertise with regard to blended learning experiences.
Requirements: MA DESE Certification in Mathematics for grades 5-8 (Grades 5-12 preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field - Masters Preferred

Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Be student focused and demonstrate consistent ability to individualize instruction for a diverse group of learners Have a sense of classroom management and a differentiated instruction style Collaborate and share ideas with other teachers Use of positive behavioral interventions for supervision and management of classroom Knowledge and ability to implement MA state standards in all curriculum areas Ability to incorporate technology into classroom activities Strong written and oral communication skills Assess each child's academic skills on an on-going basis using designated assessment tools Use assessment information to inform instruction Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis
Job Requirements: Past experience teaching at the secondary level a plus MA DESE Certification (Grades 5-8) English/Language Arts (Grades 9-12 a plus)
