Children's Library Assistant
Library Assistant – Children’s
- Under the direct supervision of the Library Director, assists the Assistant Library Director with planning and implementing youth programming including but not limited to preschool story times, family programs, summer reading programs and after school activities.
- Assists the Assistant Library Director in promoting and producing children’s programs, maintains the children’s library by keeping books and materials in order and by shelving materials, and also oversees children’s activities including games, puzzles and literacy crafts and monitors and tutors children.
- Performs other general library duties as requested.
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED required, along with one year of early children education experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and bilingual Spanish and Haitian Creole are preferred but not required.
Pay range: $12.98 to $20.12 per hour.
